Asthma Care
Flanders Pediatrics asthma care appointments focus on the diagnosis and management of our patients with asthma. We will work in partnership with you and your family to provide education regarding the physiology of asthma, proper use of medications, and the avoidance of triggers in order to help minimize symptoms your child may be experiencing. The goal is to allow your child to participate fully in all activities of daily life and avoid any emergency visits!
During your visit, the primary care provider will develop an individual asthma treatment plan for your child and provide educational material. We may also order spirometry to measure your child’s lung function capacity. Asthma visits are typically performed every 6 months for well-controlled asthma patients or more frequently on an as needed basis.
