Katie graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 8 years in emergency and pediatric intensive care. She has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2018 after receiving her Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut.

She also earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice Degree in 2020 from the University of Connecticut. Katie has experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in both primary care and convenient care. She enjoys working with children and their families and has a passion for health promotion. In 2022, she became a Certified Lactation Counselor, and has been a great support for mothers needing help with breastfeeding. Katie enjoys running, cooking, and spending time outdoors with her family.
