After Hours
Our providers take urgent calls from home after hours and on weekends.
IF YOU DO HAVE A SERIOUS SITUATION THAT CANNOT WAIT UNTIL MORNING, PLEASE CALL.
Please disable any call-blocking that may be active on your phone. Our providers will sometimes call from a number that is unidentified, and if call-blocking is activated then they will not be able to reach you.
You may call the main office number at 860-739-0348 to be connected with our answering service, and then the call will be forwarded to the on call provider until 7 pm. After 7 pm, our answering service will forward calls to the Night Nurse Triage Service. On weekends, the on-call provider will respond to calls during the day, see ill patients in the morning, and Night Nurse Triage service will answer your questions 7pm - 7 am.
However, after speaking with the Triage Nurse, should you feel strongly that you still need to speak with a provider, please let the nurse know. The Triage Nurse will then forward your call to the provider on call.
We kindly ask that you please save routine questions for whenever our office is open. You may also use the "Is Your Child Sick®?", "Illnesses and Conditions" & "Medicine dosages" on this website before calling after hours. These are powerful resources to have even when your child just mildly sick. It may even save you from having to call us and waiting for a call back!
